Welcome.

Hey there! My name is Daytona Phillips, co-founder of The Egg Project. I am 19 years old, a sophomore at GCU, a musician, and a lover of Nepal. I am currently residing in Kathmandu, Nepal, just trying to impact the hearts and lives (and stomachs!) of the people here in every way I can.

The idea of T.E.P. all started when the Kathmandu monsoon season started and we saw the devastating effects it had on the children of the slums. We already saw their quality of life was inhumanely low, but the monsoon flooding essentially acted as catalyst and made us think, “we need to do something big.” Rice and lentils once a day (or sometimes even less) is simply not enough nutrients that the human body needs, and these kids are suffering. When your body doesn’t get enough nutrients, you can’t focus. Your body doesn’t grow properly and your immune doesn’t function as it should, especially for a child.

We have the power to make a change. These are people’s lives we’re talking about. If you feel in your heart to give, whether it’s a one-time gift or a monthly commitment, we ask that you please do! If everyone in the world (who was financially able to do so) decided to set aside $5 a month to give to something good, we could fix a LOT of the problems in this world.

We’re so excited to see this project grow and expand to changing the lives of not only the slum children of Kathmandu, but extend to the rest of Nepal. Maybe even the whole world, who knows!

Please subscribe to get updates whenever we post, and feel free to email us or leave a comment if you have any questions or just want to chat!

With love,
Daytona
